3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards)

£85

Created for the 3rd Carabiniers which was a cavalry regiment of the British Army.

The 3rd Carabiniers were formed in 1922 by the amalgamation of the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales's) and the Carabiniers (6th Dragoon Guards), to form the 3rd/6th Dragoon Guards.

It was renamed the 3rd Carabiniers in 1928 and amalgamated with the Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons), forming the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1971.

The 3rd Carabiniers possessed a total of 62 battle honours, of which 49 were inherited from its predecessors.

These include Blenheim, Sevastopol, Kimberley, Ypres and Burma.

The 3rd Carabiniers belt has been designed not to clash with The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and is thus in the same dimensions and colours but in a vertical style.

All of our 3rd Carabiniers belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old 3rd Carabiniers tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
