Royal Scots Dragoon Guards - horizontal stable belt design

£85

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys) (SCOTS DG) is a cavalry regiment of the British Army, and the senior Scottish regiment.

The regiment, through the Royal Scots Greys, is the oldest surviving Cavalry Regiment of the Line in the British Army.

It was formed on 2 July 1971 at Holyrood, Edinburgh, by the amalgamation of the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards).

The Colonel-in-chief of the regiment is HM Queen Elizabeth II.

In 1998, it became the first regiment in the British Army to operate the Challenger 2 main battle tank, Since then it has converted to the role of light cavalry and is now equipped with the Jackal armoured fighting vehicles.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards' Maasai beaded belt is based on their stable belt with alternating stripes of dark blue, white, yellow and red.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Royal Scots Dragoon Guards tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
