Royal Tank Regiment

£85

The Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) is the oldest tank unit in the world, being formed by the British Army in 1916 during the First World War.

Today, it is the armoured regiment of the British Army's 12th Armoured Infantry Brigade.

The Colonel-in-chief of the regiment is HM Queen Elizabeth II.

The formation of the Royal Tank Regiment followed the invention of the tank.

Tanks were first used at the Battle of Flers–Courcelette in September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme in the First World War.  They were at first considered artillery, and crews received artillery pay.

The Royal Tank Regiment Maasai beaded belt is based on their stable belt - horizontal in design and equal colurs of red, green and brown.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Royal Tank Regiment tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
