Old Cheltonian (Cheltenham College)

£85

Cheltenham College is a co-educational, independent boarding school located in Cheltenham, UK.

It was founded in July 1841 by two Cheltenham residents, GS Harcourt and JS Iredell and its purpose was to 'educate the sons of gentlemen'.

It was considered to be one of England's best ten in the book entitled 'Great Public Schools' written in 1893.

A few girls were admitted in 1969 and eventually Cheltenham College became fully co-educational in 1998.

Cheltenham's military past is recognised by the fact that it is one of only 3 schools in England to have its own military colours.

Over 1000 Old Cheltonians were killed in World Wars I and II and a remarkable 14 Victoria Crosses have been won by OCs.

The belt is designed on the old school tie and features a vertical pattern of black with thin pink stripes in the same proportions.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Cheltenham College tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
