Old Haileyburian (Haileybury School)

£85

Haileybury is an independent, co-educational school near Hertford, UK.

Over 800 pupils attend Haileybury, the majority of whom board.

The previous institution at Haileybury was the East India College, founded in 1806 for administrators of the Honourable East India Company.

Then a school was established in 1862 and Haileybury's primary purpose was to provide soldiers and administrators for the British empire, in particular British India.

17 former pupils of Haileybury and its antecedents have won the Victoria Cross and 3 the George Cross.

The Old Haileyburian belt has been modelled on the tie in a vertical design with the primary colour of magenta separated by thin white and black stripes.

The Old Haileyburian tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
