Created for the Royal Engineers.

The Corps of Royal Engineers, usually just called the Royal Engineers (RE)and commonly known as the 'Sappers', is a corps of the British Army.

It provides military engineering and other technical support to the British Armed Forces and is headed by the Chief Royal Engineer.

The corps is divided into several regiments, based at various places in the UK and around the world.

The Royal Engineers trace their origins all the way back to the military engineers brought to England by William the Conqueror and claim over 900 years of unbroken service to the Crown.

The motto of the Royal Engineers is 'ubique et quo fas et gloria ducunt', meaning 'everywhere and where right and glory lead'.

The motto signifies that the Corps has seen action in all the major conflicts of the British Army and almost all of the minor ones also.

No fewer than 37 Victoria Crosses have been awarded to members of the Royal Engineers.

The belt is horizontal in design and alternating dark red, light blue, dark red.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable. This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The old Royal Engineers tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

IMPORTANT  - HOW TO MEASURE A BELT:

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
