Harrow football

It's football but not quite as we know it!

Harrow football is a code of football played between 2 teams of 11 players, each attempting to win by scoring more bases (goals) than their opponent.

Players may use any part of their body to propel the ball.

The leather ball is shaped like a giant pork pie and tends to soak up mud and water and become extremely heavy.

The oldest surviving rules for Harrow football were drawn up in 1858 though it is likely to have been played exclusively at Harrow School earlier than this.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

The standard belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The thin size is 1.25 inches wide.

The old Harrow football is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
