Old Pangbournian (Pangbourne College)

£85

Old Pangbournians is the name given to the alumni of Pangbourne College, the distinguished independent day and boarding school in Berkshire, UK.

Pangbourne College was founded in 1917 as The Nautical College, Pangbourne with the purpose of training boys to become Merchant Navy officers.

It became Pangbourne College in 1969 and while conforming to the general lines of a British public school, it still has a distinctly nautical flavour.

A feature of the school is the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel, opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2000. It was built to commemorate the lives and sacrifice of all those who died during the Falklands Conflict of 1982.

The Old Pangbournian belt is designed on the tie and is in a vertical style of predominantly navy blue with thin white and red stripes, in the same proportion.

All of our belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.

We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.

This belt is 1.5 inches wide.

The Old Pangbournian tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.

DELIVERY:

We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
