Royal Corps of Signals (Childrens)
Created for the Royal Corps of Signals.
The Royal Corps of Signals is one of the combat support arms of the British Army.
Signals units are often the first into action, providing the battlefield communications and information systems essential to all operations.
The Royal Corps of Signals has its own engineers, logistic experts and systems operators.
A Royal Warrant for the creation of a Corps of Signals was signed by Winston Churchill in 1920.
The Colonel-in-chief is the Princess Royal.
The Royal Corps of Signals served in every theatre of war in the Second World War and has played a full part in subsequent campaigns such as Palestine, Malaya and the Korean War.
The beaded belt we designed for the Royal Corps of Signals is based on their stable belt and is thus horizontal in style. It has equal light blue and green stripes separated by a thin navy line.
All of our Royal Corps of Signals belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.
We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.
This belt is 1.5 inches wide.
The old Royal Corps of Signals tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.
IMPORTANT - HOW TO MEASURE A BELT:
We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
