Royal Horse Artillery
Created for the Royal Horse Artillery.
The Royal Horse Artillery was formed in 1793 as a distinct arm of the Royal Regiment of Artillery.
Horses are still in operation for ceremonial purposes but not on operational deployment.
The Royal Horse Artillery consists of 3 regiments (1 RHA, 3 RHA and 7 RHA) and one ceremonial unit, The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
All 3 regiments have served continuously since the French Revolutionary or Napoleonic Wars.
When on parade with its guns, The Royal Horse Artillery takes precedence over all.
The Royal Horse Artillery beaded belt is based on the stable belt as is horizontal in style. It is primarily dark blue with a thin yellow line through the middle.
All of our Royal Horse Artillery belts are hand beaded in Kenya by the Maasai, using an average of 6000 beads.
We use the highest quality leather to ensure our belts are extremely long lasting and durable.
This belt is 1.5 inches wide.
The old Royal Horse Artillery tie is not a tie at all. It’s a Manyatta belt.
IMPORTANT - HOW TO MEASURE A BELT:
We believe in being totally honest with our customers. Like a bespoke suit or pair of shoes, outstanding craftsmanship takes time. When the order is placed, the mamas in Kenya start beading your belt, utilising their cultural and ancestral skills. Once this is complete, the belt is sent to us in the UK. For this reason, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Trust us - it is utterly worth the wait!
